Welcome to this year\u2019s Tamper Evident Challenge!<\/span><\/p>\n

This year, the F.I.B agency is back again and needs your help breaking into a package to swap some items. The challenge will be split into two sections: Beginner and Advanced.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For the beginner’s challenge, you will be tasked with lifting various seals and stickers without leaving residue behind. There is no time limit, but how fast you complete the challenge will affect your score. This is a solo challenge, but verbal communication with other participants is allowed.<\/span><\/p>\n

For the advanced challenge, you will be tasked with breaking into a multi-layer nesting doll package and swamping objects in the middle. This challenge is completed onsite, and all necessary tools are provided. You will have 30 minutes to complete the challenge; speed will factor into your score. This is a team challenge, but teams will be limited to three people.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

How to Play<\/h3>\n

The contest begins on Tuesday, October 21st<\/span><\/p>\n

Stop by the Tamper Evident Community and sign up for the Beginner or Advanced challenge. The objective of each contest is to leave no trace of tampering behind. All needed tools and supplies will be provided at the booth, but you may bring your own. All game materials must remain onsite.<\/span><\/p>\n

The contest ends Thursday, October 23rd, at the end of the day.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    What to Bring<\/h3>\n

    Just yourself!\u00a0<\/span>You are welcome to bring your own tools, but the booth setup includes everything you need to play.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

    When is judging\/winner announcements?<\/h3>\n
    \n

    Juding will occur Friday morning, with winners announced during the closing ceramonies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Game Rules<\/h1>\n
    \n
      \n
    • Get in undetected and leave no trace.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • In case of a tie, speed will be the deciding factor.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Don\u2019t destroy game materials. It defeats the purpose of the challenge anyway, and points will be subtracted.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, but teams will be limited to two people for the advanced and only one for the beginner.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • All game materials and supplies must remain onsite.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • We prioritize safety and will require personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses and gloves, to be worn when working with chemicals.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Any misuse of chemicals or equipment will result in immediate disqualification. This includes dumping chemicals onto stickers to \u201cwork faster.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

        Can I take home or keep the main challenge box afterward?<\/h3>\n

        A:<\/b> No. All game materials will remain onsite. We no longer offer boxes to take offsite to work on.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

        What should I do to prepare for the contest?<\/h3>\n
        \n

        A: <\/b><\/span>Research different types of tamper evident devices (i.e. seals, stickers, bags, clips, ties, packaging, etc) Be prepared to use different handy tools (i.e. syringes, hair dryer, heat gun, pliers, cotton swabs, glue, etc.). We will have some tools for you to use at the Tamper Evident Community, but the majority of work will be done on your own<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

        What are your judging criteria?<\/h3>\n

        A:<\/b> We are looking to see how well you got into the package without leaving evidence behind. This includes things like physical marks, swapped ID numbers, incorrect assembly, etc. Bypassing these devices without being detected requires a keen eye and a high level of attention to detail.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
