SAINTCON Call for Events
The UtahSAINT Organization is excited to announce the Open Call for Contests for the upcoming SAINTCON 2023 conference event.
Hi, I’m Supertechguy
If you have any questions about Events for SAINTCON, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
Overview:
As we begin the planning for SAINTCON 2023, we are already overwhelmed with ideas and individuals wanting to be involved. Last year was in many ways a breakthrough year for our community conference, and we are looking to improve it even more.
We are looking for incredible events.
As such we are opening the “Open Call for Events” effective immediately.
Areas of Interest
We are primarily seeking ideas and proposals for events at SAINTCON that are related to SAINTCON’s overall mission and goals. In addition, we are also looking for events that we feel will add value to our attendee’s experience.
Examples of current successful events include:
- Tin Foil Hat Talks
- The Vent
- Hak-in-the-box
- Family Night
-
After hours social events

Proposals Must Include:
- Event Name? This is the name that will be used on the website, on the signs, and throughout the conference.
- Who will run this event?
- Brief description: This is a 1-3 sentence overview of what the event is, and what participants will learn.
- Long description: This is the website content. It should be several paragraphs long. This should include detailed descriptions of what will be taught, tools used, what participants need to bring, game tie-ins, etc. This is your sales pitch to drive participation. Use it.
- When would the event happen? Is this happening after-hours or during the conference?
- What do you need: Do you need space to hold the event and if so how much time do you need in the space? (SAINTCON has limited space and cannot guarantee space for events, but will accommodate requests when possible)
- Family night: Is your event appropriate for, and would you like to be considered for family night content?
- Contact information: We need to know how to get ahold of you. This can include real names, discord handles (including # – ie: zodiak#9312), phone numbers, e-mail addresses, etc.
Our Expectations
Events at SAINTCON add value to attendees and members of the greater community. As such, we expect the following general guidelines to be understood:
- Events and the expectations within the event should be clearly defined.
- Events must comply with SAINTCON’s code of conduct and applicable laws.
- Events should not place attendees in difficult situations without their express knowledge and permission.
- Evening events planned and executed by sponsors are encouraged and a great way to engage with attendees.
Budget for Events
Outside of space (if available) to hold the event, SAINTCON does not allocate budgets for events. (Unless the event is an official function of SAINTCON and planned by SAINTCON).
