Can you find it? How well do you know technology?

The Scavenger Hunt competition returns.

Everything you need to know…

The SAINTCON Scavenger Hunt will test your creativity and packrat tendencies by having a list of items or challenges to present to the Perpetrators for points.

We may want to see arcane technology, ancient documentation, or out and out bribes.  Thinking outside of the box is not only encouraged, it’s sometimes required.

The primary goal for the Scavenger hunt is to entertain the Perpetrators and Attendees, as well as to create a social aspect to get people to have some fun between sessions.

How to play

Visit the Scavenger Hunt contest booth and locate the items list that will be posted. There might be hints or items posted via social media before the conference, be on the lookout!

All conference attendees will be able to participate without bringing anything to the con. There will be both ephemeral and discrete items that will be listed.

See the Rules of the Game below.

Rules of the Game

  • 1

Bring items or perform ridiculous hijinks to entertain the perpetrators of the Scavenger hunt. This could be physical, digital, or other. Be creative.

  • 2

Scoring is (intentionally) somewhat arbitrary. Perpetrators may have different values for a particular item. It helps to know your audience.

  • 3

Teams are allowed, but only one prize each is awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd.

  • 4

There will be a honorable mention prize for “Coolest item turn in”.

  • 5

SAINTCON Committee and Staff or co-perpetrators can play, but cannot win.

  • 6

Have fun. Try not to take it too seriously. The more fun you have with the Perpetrators the more likely you will get higher scores.

  • 7

Bribes are allowed, but know your audience.

  • 8

Negative scores can be applied if you make a Perpetrator groan, again know your audience.
